A 1 year and 7 month old child, AP was brought to HomoeoCARE because he was having swelling in his right testicle. Left testicle was normal in size. His mother said when the child was 6 month old I took an opinion of another Paediatrician regarding the swelling. He told it was Hydrocele and it generally disappears by 1 year of age and if it doesn’t subside then they’ll have to operate him. Mother was concerned because the child had crossed more 7 months yet the Hydrocele had not subsided and they didn’t want to do any operation on their child.
A hydrocele can also be caused by inflammation or injury in the scrotum resulting in accumulation of fluid in testes. It is commonly seen in newborn and disappears by age of 1. It can occur in adults also. If Hydrocele doesn't disappear on its own then it might need to be removed surgically.
A hydrocele is basically caused by an accumulation of fluid inside the testicle. So the conventional approach is to remove the fluid by incision to the scrotum. Homeopathic medicines absorb the excess of fluid resulting in a normal size of the scrotum. Hence there’s no need to injure the skin by any means. After 3 months of homeopathic treatment, his scrotum size fully reduced back to normal.
